Rick Ross calls the purchase of his $37 million Miami super-luxury mansion a “key piece in the picture.”
The rapper “immediately fell in love” with the six-bedroom beachfront mansion, according to real estate agent Kimberly Knausz.
Rick Ross’s string of high-profile real estate purchases continues.
The 47-year-old rapper recently added another expensive property to his growing portfolio with the purchase of a $37 million Miami mansion.
The beachfront home is located on the exclusive, heavily guarded Star Island off Biscayne Bay and is home to many famous residents.
The new home of the pop star famous for his hit song “Rich Is Gangsta” sits on a 40,000-square-foot (approximately 4,270 square meter) property with a 100-foot (approximately 30 meter) waterfront, according to his real estate agent, Kimberly Knausz of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty, who partnered with Ross’s sister, Tawanda Roberts, a real estate agent at Florida Realty in Miami, to broker the deal.
The 12,374-square-foot (approximately 1,122 square meter) home has six bedrooms, eight and a half bathrooms, a chef’s kitchen, and a master bedroom overlooking the bay equipped with two walk-in closets and an en-suite bathroom.
Outdoor amenities on the property include a heated swimming pool, an outdoor kitchen, a 40-foot (approximately 12 meter) pier, and direct access to the bay and ocean.
“He immediately fell in love with the magnificent entrance — it has a very long driveway leading to the mansion that creates a truly luxurious atmosphere,” Knausz told PEOPLE.

“The architecture of the house also plays a significant role, as it goes far beyond typical modern homes, and he plans to renovate it to reflect his personal style.”
In April, Ross revealed he had bought a home in Texas, sharing a photo on Instagram of himself wearing a cowboy hat and Western-style boots. “I invite the great state of Texas to raise a glass to @deaconwhisky to celebrate my newest home in the Lonely Star State,” he wrote, signing the post as “Rodeo Rick.”
That same month, the “Hustlin’” singer reportedly purchased a property in the Atlanta area. And in March 2021, he cashed in on former NBA star Amar’e Stoudemire’s Florida home, in Southwest Ranches, west of Fort Lauderdale.
“It’s a huge property in a very secluded area,” he told PEOPLE at the time. “From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the high ceilings and the exquisite details.”
The musician also owns a 45,000-square-foot (approximately 4,270 square meter) mansion with 109 rooms in Fayetteville, Georgia, which he calls “The Promised Land.”
This home, situated on a 235-acre (approximately 102 hectare) estate, is famous for being used as a replacement setting for Prince Akeem Joffer’s (Eddie Murphy) palace in the 2021 film Coming 2 America, according to NBC News.
