Ricky Schroder Visits Charlie Kirk Murder Site, Begs Candace Owens to ‘Wake Up’
Ricky Schroder is once again calling out Candace Owens over her questioning the events surrounding Charlie Kirk‘s death, and this time he filmed a video at the site where he was fatally shot to urge her to “wake up.”
“Candace, you did so much interesting and good work early on in your career,” Schroder, 56, said, acknowledging Owens’ past work in an Instagram Reel posted on Tuesday, July 14. “We hope that you pull back from the insanity that you’ve been pushing.”
The former child star went on to suggest that her grief might be clouding her judgment and begged her to change course.
“You know, Candace, we know you’re grieving. We know you’re hurting, but it’s time to just wake up, Candace. Wake up,” he continued.
Schroder also addressed the criticism surrounding the changes made to the area where Charlie was killed at Utah Valley University. The Silver Spoons alum argued that the pavement placed in the area happened after investigators finished collecting evidence from the crime scene.
“I know there was a big controversy about redoing this floor, but think about it,” he added. “After they collected all the evidence that they wanted from this area, they wanted to prevent false evidence from being planted there, perhaps, in the future. So that’s one reason why they could’ve redone this murder location, right? So that something wasn’t found in the future that had nothing to do with the truth but was deceptive and caused more conspiracy theories.”

Schroder went on to ask Owens, 37, to help unite the country “before the midterms” rather than create divisions “because the enemy wants that, and you’re too smart [of] a woman to be deceived.”
Schroder’s criticism of Owens is nothing new. Last week, he and his wife, Julie Trammell, traveled to Provo, Utah, to attend the preliminary hearing of Tyler Robinson, the man accused of murdering Charlie. In a video he shared to Instagram on July 7, he said that he and Trammell, 41, listened to Owens’ appearance on The Shawn Ryan Show and was “disgusted” by her questioning the official account of Charlie’s killing.
The following day, the former NYPD Blue star posted another video begging Robinson, 23, to confess to Charlie’s murder.
“Tyler, son, you can do the right thing now,” Schroder said. “You can ask for forgiveness after you confess, and I think that is what’s in your best interest, is to confess to what you’ve done.”
Charlie was fatally shot on September 10, 2025, during the first stop of his American Comeback Tour at Utah Valley University. Roughly 36 hours later, Robinson turned himself in. His preliminary hearing concluded on July 10, and the decision on whether he’ll stand trial is still weeks away. Robinson has not yet entered a plea.
