On the morning of June 10th, Messi had the opportunity to meet Daniel Gudjohnsen during the friendly match between Argentina and Iceland. Notably, this player is the son of “El Pulga’s” former teammate.
Young striker Daniel Gudjohnsen proactively approached Messi, shook his hand, and had a short, friendly conversation after the match. This moment immediately went viral on social media platforms as fans realized Daniel was the son of Eidur Gudjohnsen.
In the past, Icelandic legend Eidur Gudjohnsen played alongside Messi at Barcelona from 2006 to 2009. This duo, along with the golden generation at Camp Nou, conquered numerous heights, including La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the prestigious Champions League title.
