Kid Rock said the $5,000 tickets are only for 20 special front-row seats with extra perks, while lawn tickets start at $50, the Ticketmaster exchange system is meant to stop scalpers, and he accused the media of leaving out those details. See less
Kid Rock believes fans aren’t getting the “full story” when it comes to his concert ticket prices.
The controversialmusic artist has been facing backlash recently over reports that he is charging exorbitantly high prices on some of the tickets to his Freedom 250 Tour, but he claims the media has got it “twisted.”
According to the Ticketmaster website, Kid Rock priced some front row seats as high as $5,000, marketing the premium tickets as “First Class Seats.”
Kid Rock is now attempting to clarify his prices, explaining in a statement posted to Instagram on Friday, Feb. 20 that only a very limited amount of tickets are being offered at such a high price.
“Here we go again,” he wrote in his post on Friday, claiming, “The fake liberal media says I’m charging $5,000 for front-row tickets. They know damn well that’s not the full story.”
“Those are extremely limited First Class seats like I explained,” he wrote, claiming that only 4 “First Class Seats” are available in rows 1-5, meaning a total of 20 total tickets at each venue are listed at the premium seating pricing.

“20 ‘first class’ seats in venues that h old 15k to 25k people,” he further stated.
The “All Summer Long” singer went on to lash out at the media, writing, “Instead of reporting facts or that lawn seats are only 50 bucks or how we are cutting out the scalpers, they twist it for headlines / clicks and to attack me – nothing new here.”
His post concluded with a cryptic message about his haters that read, “I WILL pray for them but I know that sooner or later God will cut ’em down.”
