Erling Haaland accepts Tom Holland’s dinner invitation after his viral text message ignore.
He may be one of the biggest movie stars on the planet, but not everyone wants to hang out with Tom Holland.
According to People , the incident stemmed from an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on July 13th. Tom Holland stated that he texted Erling Haaland after spotting the player at the Monaco Grand Prix in early June.
“I was watching Lewis Hamilton race when I saw him in the VIP section across the street. I thought, ‘Why not give it a try?’ and sent him a text message,” Tom Holland recounted.
Tom Holland ‘feels humiliated’ by Erling Haaland’s cold treatment.
However, Norwegian striker Erling Haaland ignored a private message from Tom Holland inviting him to “hang out together.” This situation made the actor feel like he “was brought back down to earth and needed to live more humbly.”
“I have to say this is exactly the kind of experience where actors need to be a little more level-headed. You think, ‘I’ll text him, I’ll ask him out to dinner.’ But then there’s no response, no rejection, no ‘I’m busy playing soccer tonight,’ absolutely nothing,” Tom Holland admitted on air.
.
Tom Holland humorously commented on his “being ignored” moment: “I never thought I’d have to tell this story on live television, but now we’re here.”

When the MC asked if he would still like to have dinner with Erling Haaland, Tom Holland replied: “I don’t think he’d want to have dinner with me after the other day,” referring to the England vs. Norway World Cup match.
England won 2-1 against Norway in Miami on July 11th, advancing to the semi-finals and eliminating the Nordic team.
Tom Holland’s post attracted attention on social media. Shortly after, on July 15th, footballer Erling Haaland commented: “Accepting Tom Holland’s invitation. A little late. Just let me know the meeting place.”
The player’s comment attracted hundreds of thousands of likes, was screenshotted by many, and shared across social media platforms.
According to The Independent, Erling Haaland spoke out to explain why he “ignored” Tom Holland’s message shortly after the story went viral on social media.
On The Assembly program, the Norwegian striker said that he doesn’t watch many movies so he didn’t recognize who the Spider-Man star was, and he also doesn’t usually reply to messages from strangers.
“Someone messaged me asking if we could have dinner together, but I hadn’t met him before so I didn’t reply,” Erling Haaland shared.
