Dame Dash: Jay-Z Won’t Diss 50 Cent Because Eminem Holds the Real Power

oc-A-Fella Records co-founder Dame Dash has never been afraid to speak his mind. In a new interview on Cam Capone News, Dash explained why he thinks Jay-Z chose not to diss 50 Cent on his recent “Roots Picnic” freestyle. According to Dame, the decision comes down to hip-hop power dynamics and the massive influence of 50 Cent’s longtime friend and mentor, Eminem.

Dash claimed that Jay-Z simply doesn’t have enough power to go after Slim Shady. He even brought up past fact about the 2022 Super Bowl Halftime Show to show who really calls the shots. “He didn’t diss 50 Cent because Jay-Z is not bigger than Eminem. So, 50’s boss is Eminem. Jay doesn’t have more power than Eminem. He tried to blackball 50 from the Super Bowl. Eminem just made the call. Eminem makes that call and he’s white,” Dash said.

50 Cent Says Eminem Is the Reason He Performed at 2022 Super Bowl Halftime Show: 'They Didn't Want Me There
To describe the strong bond between Eminem and 50 Cent, Dash used a famous movie comparison. He argued that the G-Unit leader acts as a loyal enforcer because he has Eminem’s full backing, which changes how power works in the music industry. “And if you ask 50 who’s the best, that’s a black man quickly saying that a white man is the best at a black sport. So to me he’s Luca Brasi to Eminem. He’s like hired to go,” Dash explained.

These blunt comments from the former music executive add a new chapter to the long history between Roc-A-Fella and the Shady/Aftermath camp. By comparing 50 Cent to the famous Godfather character, Dash highlights a unique shield that keeps 50 safe from rap beefs, even from a giant like Jay-Z.
