Champions ink: Gabriel celebrates historic Arsenal Premier League triumph with new tattoo
Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes has got a new tattoo of the Premier League trophy with the year “2026” underneath to celebrate the club’s first title in 22 years.
The Brazilian centre-back shared the permanent reminder of the historic campaign on his left calf.
Photos from tattoo artist Diego Santos show the design in progress and the finished ink.
The artist described the piece as symbolising sacrifice, resilience and a dream fulfilled on the journey to becoming a Premier League champion.
Gabriel joined Arsenal from Lille in 2020 and has become a key part of Mikel Arteta’s defence.
In the 2025/26 season, he made 32 Premier League appearances, scoring three goals and providing four assists as Arsenal finished with 85 points and 19 clean sheets.
The title was secured on 19 May after Manchester City drew at Bournemouth.
He also featured for Brazil at the 2026 World Cup, starting all five games before they were eliminated by Norway in the round of 16.
After the tournament, he took the standard holiday break and returned later than the main group, joining the squad in late July.
Gabriel made his first pre-season appearance as a second-half substitute in the 1-3 defeat to Real Betis in Dublin.
He is expected to feature more regularly in the coming games against Borussia Dortmund at the Emirates and the Community Shield against Manchester City.
Arsenal fans have reacted with pride to the new tattoo. Many celebrated the permanent mark of the long-awaited title win and called the Brazilian a leader in the championship-winning side.
